Who we are
Chesterton Academy of Mary Star of the Sea began with a simple conviction: that our children deserve more than just schooling—they deserve formation. A group of local Catholic families came together, dreaming of a high school that would not only challenge the mind, but shape the soul. One that would be unapologetically faithful, joyful, classical, and deeply rooted in the richness of the Catholic tradition.
We’re parents, teachers, business owners, priests, and neighbors who believe in beauty, truth, and the dignity of every student. Partnering with the Chesterton Schools Network and inspired by the writings of G.K. Chesterton, we’re working to build something enduring: a place where young men and women are prepared to live full, integrated lives of faith, reason, and virtue.
Our doors open in Melbourne, Florida in the fall of 2027. Until then, we’re laying the foundation, building our community, and praying boldly for the students who will walk our halls one day.

Mary, Star of the Sea
Mary, Star of the Sea is one of the oldest titles of the Blessed Virgin, a name that has guided seafarers and saints for centuries. Just as sailors once looked to the stars to find their way home, we look to Mary to guide us safely to her Son. She is our compass in turbulent times—our protector, our intercessor, and the radiant light leading us to Christ. Under her patronage, Chesterton Academy of Mary Star of the Sea places its mission firmly under heaven’s care.
